Grid Pages

Behind Merlin there is a Database where all your data is stored.

A Database has many tables in it and each table is like a spreadsheet. So, when you view the data in a table it is like looking at the data in a spreadsheet.

Merlin allows you to view the data in the various tables on the "Locate" Grid Pages.

Here is the Name table displayed by Merlin in a Grid Page.

Unlike Spreadsheets, with Databases and Grid Pages we are able to display data from other tables that is linked or related to the records you are looking at.

You can Search for data in the database and have it displayed in a Grid Page.

You can use String Searches to find data. If you are looking for:

Wellington

You can enter the following in the Search Box:

%ling

And Merlin will return all data in thie field that has "ling" anywhere in it. So you could get:

Wellington

Burlington

Darlington

etc.
